The Lakes of Col Bas - 9 km

At a distance of 6 km from the Gîte des Silves, you will find a parking at an altitude of 1,910m.  This is the beginning of a relatively easy hike to the Col Bas ("Lower Pass") (2,113 m). Behind the pass, the landscape is very different.  It's a relatively flat area where many marmots are running around in the summer. Several mountain lakes are a pleasant destination for a picnic in the countryside, with breathtaking views to the valleys and surrounding mountains.
