Do you come by Car?  Les Silves (which is part of Seyne-les-Alpes) is close to the main road (from Gap or Digne-les-Bains).  There are flight connections to Marseille Airport (2h30 driving from les Silves).  The train station of Gap (1 hour driving) offers regular connections (including night trains) to Paris.  Fast trains (TGV) are leaving from Aix-en-Provence TGV station which is at 2h15 driving from our gîte.

If you come by train or by plane, we strongly recommend you to rent a car.

* From the South (MARSEILLE, NICE, AVIGNON): Go to DIGNE-LES-BAINS, then take the D-900 to SEYNE-LES-ALPES. At the entrance of SEYNE-LES-ALPES, take the D-207 on the right (opposite the post office). After 1.5 km, take the D-607 on the right at the main junction (towards SAINT PONS). At the entrance of SAINT-PONS, turn left towards the COL BAS. After 400 m take the path on the left towards the Gîte des Silves. You have arrived !

* From the North (GAP, BRIANçON, BARCELONNETTE, GRENOBLE): Go to the COL SAINT-JEAN via the D-900. At the pass, turn left towards SAINT-JEAN MONTCLAR ski resort (D-207). Continue on this road for 7.5 km until you reach a major junction, then take the D-607 left (towards SAINT PONS). At the entrance of SAINT-PONS, turn left towards the COL BAS. After 400 m take the path on the left towards the house. You have arrived !

The closest TGV station is the station of Aix-en-Provence TGV.   Direct connections are available from/to cities such as: Barcelona, Brussels, Geneva, Strasbourg, Nantes, Paris, Lille and Lyon.  Coming from London, several daily connections are available via Lille.     Cars can be rented at the train station.   Les Silves is located at 2h15 driving from Aix TGV.   For more detailed information, you can check the website of the French Railways: SNCF.

There is also a "main" train station in Gap.   Direct connections are available to Briançon and Grenoble (with connections to Paris and Lyon).  Les Silves is located at 1h00 driving from Gap.   For more detailed informations, you can check the website of the French Railways : SNCF. 

The Train des Pignes (Chemins de Fer de Provence) gives you the possibility to reach Digne-les-Bains from Nice by train.  The journey is a relatively long one: 3h30, but you will travel through wonderful places.   The train station of Digne-les-Bains is at 1h00 (46 km) from les Silves.  You can either rent a car in Digne-les-Bains, but it is highly recommended to arrange for a booking well in advance.

The Airport of Marseille Provence is located at 180 km of les Silves (2h30 driving).  It is the closest airport.   Lowcost airlines, including Ryanair, land at the new MP2 terminal.
